Amy began her pre professional training in Libertyville, Illinois where she performed and trained with many instructors including former ABT soloist Amy Rose. She belonged to several pre professional companies where she performed in works by Kate Jablonski and John Lehrer among others. Amy has completed summer intensives with: Milwaukee Ballet, Point Park University, American Ballet Theatre, and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She then went to study at California State University Long Beach, where she earned a BFA in Dance, under the direction of Andrew Vaca, Lorin Johnson, Rebecca Lemme, Sophie Monat, and Keith Johnson. After graduation, she began to focus on children’s dance education, earning a certification in the ABT National Training Curriculum Pre Primary through Level 5 as well as a certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise. She currently teaches at The American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School as well as Momentum Dance Center in Yorba Linda, CA.
